There are two kinds of financial systems that are in operation, and every individual operates from either of the two: the world’s financial system and God’s financial system. The world’s financial system is governed by mammon, while God’s financial system is controlled by the Word of God.
Now, if God’s financial system is controlled by the Word of God, it means that any teaching that disagrees with giving and receiving as outlined in the Word of God makes us ignorant of the principles of riches and wealth in the Kingdom of God, thereby opening doors for demonic attacks and giving demons access to attack our finances. If we fail to live by God’s economic system, we have no other choice but to live by the world’s economic system. If we fail to give—if we fail to sow in the Kingdom of God—then we are saying that mammon can control our finances.
On the other hand, the world’s economic system, or the world’s financial system, is controlled by the spirit of mammon. It is this spirit that is responsible for stealing from the people of God. It is this spirit that is responsible for distributing wealth to people in the world, and it distributes wealth according to certain standards—the standards of the kingdom of darkness. It steals from the people of God and distributes it to the kingdom of Satan.
The spirit of mammon is ready to give you wealth as long as you are willing to live by the principles and standards of the kingdom of darkness. Mammon gives money, but not without a cost—not without a price.
Today, we are looking at how Satan, the kingdom of darkness, and demonic entities steal from you and the means through which they attack your finances. That is the subject matter of our topic this moment.
There are six ways that demons attack your finances:
- Ancestral debts to the kingdom of Satan
- Generational curses
- The python spirit
- Virtue stealers
- Seed eaters
- Witchcraft and occultic agents
1. Ancestral Debts to the Kingdom of Satan
This means that there are people who are indebted to the kingdom of darkness through covenants and agreements made by their fathers, ancestors, and forefathers—even before they were born. There was an agreement, an exchange, entered into with demonic forces and evil altars, and part of this agreement involved the exchange of wealth—giving wealth in return for something.
Now, what normally happens is that there are terms to this agreement—there are terms to this covenant. If anyone born into that family decides to move from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of Light and refuses to worship Satan, then through that covenant, there is a legal ground that keeps that individual in debt. The demons, the kingdom of darkness, will use that channel to attack the finances of that individual so that whatever they do in life, there is no financial progress—no growth, no promotion.
How Do You Deal with This Kind of Bondage?
This is a satanic financial bondage. The solution is through confession and acknowledgment because there is a covenant, and God respects covenants.
Steps to take:
- Confess the sins of your ancestors, including their involvement in idolatry.
- Confess their dealings with the kingdom of darkness and repent from it.
- Renounce and do away with anything that connects you to the kingdom of darkness.
- Engage in serious spiritual warfare—pray with knowledge.
If you follow these steps, you will be delivered because the Word of God is yes and amen. “Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” But you must pray with knowledge.
2. Generational Curses
A generational curse means that someone is suffering from the wrongs of their forefathers—suffering the effects of what their ancestors did. The Word of God says in Deuteronomy 5:9 that God will visit the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons unto the third and fourth generations.
If you are suffering from a curse of poverty or any financial curse as a result of what your ancestors did, then you have to pray with knowledge and with the Word of God to be delivered.
The Book of Ezekiel 18:2-3 says:
“Never again shall this proverb be used among my people, that the fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.”
Steps to Take:
- Confess the known sins of your ancestors that brought this curse upon them.
- Ask God for mercy and to remove the curse from your life.
- Pray aggressively against demonic forces attacking your finances.
3. The Python Spirit
The Word of God says in Job 20:15:
“He has swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again; the Lord shall cast it out of his belly.”
This scripture speaks about the python spirit. It is a spirit that swallows wealth.
If you have dreams about snakes—especially pythons—your finances are under attack. This spirit sees the blessings and wealth coming your way and swallows them before they reach you.
How to Overcome This Attack:
- Invoke the fire of God upon the python spirit to vomit your wealth.
- Pray with Job 20:15 and challenge the situation with the Word of God.
4. Virtue Stealers
Virtue stealers are demonic entities that come into your dreams to rob you of your finances. If you dream about:
- Someone stealing from you
- Losing your ATM card or money
- Your store being broken into and looted
Then you are under attack from virtue stealers.
How to Overcome:
Pray with Isaiah 42:21-22 and Isaiah 33:1 to reclaim your stolen finances.
5. Seed Eaters
Seed eaters are demonic entities—like locusts, palmerworms, and cankerworms—that attack financial increase and harvest. If you dream of ants all over your house, this represents an attack on your finances.
This type of attack causes unexpected financial losses—medical bills, sudden expenses, or emergencies that consume all your money.
How to Overcome:
- Pray with Joel 2:25.
- Repent from financial negligence.
- Start sowing and giving into the Kingdom of God.
6. Witchcraft and Occultic Agents
Witchcraft involves direct contact with demonic agents. They can steal your finances by:
- Taking your money to an evil altar.
- Burying it under a tree or underground.
If you dream of receiving small pieces of money or seeing yourself in financial lack, you may be under witchcraft manipulation.
How to Overcome:
- Cover your finances with the blood of Jesus.
- Follow the financial principles of the Kingdom of God.
Final Strategy for Deliverance
If you are a victim of financial bondage:
- Pray and ask for God’s mercy.
- Renounce idolatry and any financial ties to the kingdom of darkness.
- Sow and give into the Kingdom of God.
- Pray aggressively against financial thieves, virtue stealers, and demonic attacks.
