The scripture warns us against witchcraft attacks because it is an attack on your mind. Witchcraft is a force—a spiritual force that affects your senses. It attacks your senses, and when someone is under a witchcraft attack, they live in confusion, act senselessly, and lose focus. When someone is bewitched, they do not pay attention to the things they should. In Galatians 3:1, Apostle Paul reprimanded the Galatians for their foolish actions, which were a result of bewitchment. When under a witchcraft attack, a person acts foolishly. It is our responsibility to understand this wickedness so that we can guard ourselves.
When someone is under bewitchment or witchcraft attack, they will experience certain signs. If these things begin to take place in your life, it is a clear indication that you are under a witchcraft attack.
Number one is a lack of motivation
You lose motivation—the driving force that compels you to do the things you should. Motivation is the zeal you have to do what you need to do. When you are under a witchcraft attack, you lose your zeal, and procrastination enters your life. Something that should take an hour to do is postponed until tomorrow. When tomorrow comes, you postpone it again. You lose the appetite to do the things that are necessary, just like losing your appetite to eat. The purpose behind this is to bring poverty into that person’s life, as the Bible says in Proverbs 10:4: “He becomes poor that deals with a slack hand, but the hand of the diligent makes it rich.” When your zeal to do the things that bring success and prosperity disappears, poverty enters your life.
Number two is that the person will not hear from God.
Witchcraft attacks bring so much distraction to the mind. When under attack, your mind becomes distracted, and a distracted mind cannot hear from God. A heart that is distracted cannot listen to God. You are so distracted that you cannot concentrate, even on prayer. Distraction is a weapon used to stop you from receiving insights, leaving you spiritually deaf. Your dreams and vision become distracted, and there is so much noise within you that you cannot focus on anything, including studying the Word of God or praying. Witchcraft disorganizes a person’s life, causing internal turmoil and no peace.
Number three is hearing voices.
In 1 Samuel 28, Saul could no longer hear from God and sought to hear from another source, namely witchcraft. Witchcraft will cause you to hear false voices—voices that tell you to do things that are not in line with God’s plan for your life. These voices may direct you to actions that lead you away from your destiny, such as telling you to do things that are destructive or irrational.
Number four is confusion.
According to 1 Corinthians 14:33, God is not the author of confusion. When confusion enters your life, it is a sign of a witchcraft attack. You don’t know what to do, whether to move forward or backward, or which direction to take. You cannot make decisions or come to any conclusions.
Number five is forgetfulness.
A person under a witchcraft attack may forget important things, like appointments or tasks that are crucial to achieving their goals. You may forget plans you made in the morning and remember them later, often too late. Forgetfulness is a clear indication of a witchcraft attack in your life.
Number six is false accusations.
People will accuse you falsely because of hatred, and these accusations will come from many places—at work, at school, and in public. This is the result of spells cast against you.
Number seven is sleep paralysis.
You may wake up and feel heavy, unable to move your body, hands, legs, or even your head. It may feel like a force is holding you down, preventing you from speaking. This is a sign of a witchcraft attack.
Number eight is seeing evil marks on your body.
You may wake up and notice marks that resemble razor blade cuts or fingernail scratches, even in places where your nails can’t reach. These marks can appear on your back, neck, shoulders, or legs. This is a sign of witchcraft activity.
However, all hope is not lost. Just as witchcraft is a spirit that brings sickness to the mind, the Holy Spirit brings healing to your mind and soul. You should walk in partnership with the Holy Spirit to deal with witchcraft attacks. No solution will come from anywhere else. The Holy Spirit will guide you, help you understand the steps to take, and lead you to the truth.
You must rely on the Holy Spirit for solutions to witchcraft attacks, as it is the Spirit that guides and directs. Be obedient to the Holy Spirit, and it will lead you to victory over witchcraft. No other power or force will give you the solution you need.
